The Historian...

Emilie Sizemore is an award-winning, amateur photographer and multi-disciplinary artist, specializing in landscape and nature photography. She was a student of art at Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence, Italy, focused on painting restoration. After earning degrees in Studio Art and Art History stateside, Emilie taught Art History at Pepperdine University. Never far from her camera or paint brushes, Emilie has started to photograph the Midwest, following her family’s recent relocation to Illinois. She still paints in oil and watercolors whenever possible, but her new love is digital art and photography, allowing for flexibility in time and location. Emilie maintains a focus on historically relevant landscapes and small, still life subjects that catch her eye.
